After 40 long years, Warriors fans were able to celebrate an NBA Championship.
As the final seconds ticked off the clock, Warriors fans were ready to celebrate their dream season.
The fans filled the streets of downtown Oakland...
and the champagne flowed freely.
One fan even climbed a street light to hang a warriors shirt over a street sign. It was crazy.
Lots of people thought the celebrations in Oakland would turn violent...
...but they don't know Oakland. This was a time to celebrate the first victory by a team from the Town since 1989.
It was dancing in the streets.
Kids showing off their dribbling skills...
...and fireworks being set off.
Well done Warriors and well done Oakland.
Now how about that parade on Friday?? THAT will be one heck of a party!
I photographed a fundraising conference here recently. What a wonderful place for photos. I almost always hate being anywhere at 6am, but this breakfast event proved an exception. The manger and his staff from party venues in Houston were extremely professional.
