I love photographing the Dipsea race, especially the start line in downtown Mill Valley.
People stretching to get ready for the big race.
Or have their photo taken at the start line.
Winning runners are announced at the start line.
And then head out of downtown...
as the fans watch.
Then its time to climb the Dipsea steps!
There is the first staircase.
Which the runners then sprint around a bend...
to find another staircase.
Some runners also no longer can take part in the race and are remembered with a memorial on the path.
