Tyler Walker is a relief pitcher originally from Ross in Marin. I was assigned to cover him on his return to San Francisco for the Marin IJ.
Walker was on the SF Giants for a few years and was an important reliever before being let go after last season.
He has bounced around this season between the minors and playing for the majors for the Philadelphia Phillies. Its an interesting story and can be read here.

Recently I traveled to Hong Kong. Its an amazing and dynamic city full of people working hard and living life to the fullest.
As someone I met in Hong Kong told me, "It takes the best of Western and Asian cultures and mixes them together."
My time there I just scratched the surface of what the city has to offer. I hope to make it back again soon.

Today in Hong Kong there was a partial solar eclipse. At its peak around 9:26 am local time around 70 percent of the surface of the sun was blocked by the moon.
As you can imagine I wasn't the only one out there taking photographs...
It was an interesting sight. I had never experienced it before and it was fascinating and difficult to photograph.
The best time to take photographs actually was when there was a bit of cloud cover... When it was clear skies it was difficult to see the eclipse...
